Sourcing the finest and freshest local Tasmanian produce

Our clean water, fresh air and fertile soils mean that Tasmania is known around the world for its premium produce. From cherries to cheese, from truffles to walnuts, and from shellfish to sparkling wine, you can trust that the food and drink you’ll enjoy in Tasmania will be the very best quality.

Our restaurant team are passionate about sourcing local, seasonal produce so that every bite tells a story of the region’s rich flavours.

In particular, Tasmania’s East Coast is known for its seafood. Our restaurant team look forward to serving you the finest local lobster, oysters, and abalone, alongside fresh-picked vegetables from our onsite garden.

Seasonal Omakase Set Menu

Curated Menu Selection

Our chefs have worked hard to build strong relationships with Tasmanian fisherman, farmers and winemakers who respect the values of seasonality and sustainability as much as we do. We also love to incorporate fresh fruit and vegetables from our onsite Saltwater Vegetable Garden.

At Mount Paul Lounge, we offer a signature Seasonal Omakase set menu, which requires advance booking a minimum of 3 days in advance, no walk-ins accepted.

Due to the nature of our dining experience, we are unable to cater for any major dietary requests. Please see our full booking policy below.

Seasonal Omakase Set Menu

Our team is proud to bring guests a 8-Course Seasonal Omakase set menu that seamlessly fuses Tasmanian produce with Japanese cooking techniques and presentation. The price is $250 per person (our menu price is subject to change without prior notice). A $50 per person deposit is required at the time of booking.

Teishoku Set Meal

Everyday we have limited 3-dish Teishoku set meals for walk-in hotel guests who do not have a confirmed Seasonal Omakase reservation. The price is $75 per set (our menu price is subject to change without prior notice). Bookings are not available for this Teishoku Set Meal, it will be available first come, first serve until they sell out. So due to a limited availability, restaurant reservation of Seasonal Omakase dinner highly recommended.
