Mount Paul Lounge

Mount Paul Lounge is Freycinet Resort’s onsite restaurant, serving delicious food in spectacular surroundings. We offer a warm welcome to residents and non-residents, and a seasonal set menu that showcases the best Tasmanian produce. As you dine, we invite you to soak in the awe-inspiring views of Freycinet National Park and The Hazards, a backdrop that adds a touch of magic to every meal.

Our restaurant team are passionate about sourcing local, seasonal produce so that every bite tells a story of the region’s rich flavours.

In particular, Tasmania’s East Coast is known for its seafood. Our restaurant team look forward to serving you the finest local lobster, oysters, and abalone, alongside fresh-picked vegetables from our onsite garden.

At Mount Paul Lounge, we collaborate with local producers to ensure our guests can always enjoy the freshest produce.

Our chefs have worked hard to build strong relationships with Tasmanian fisherman, farmers and winemakers who respect the values of seasonality and sustainability as much as we do. We also love to incorporate fresh fruit and vegetables from our onsite Saltwater Vegetable Garden.

Our team is proud to bring guests a seasonal set menu that seamlessly fuses Tasmanian produce with Japanese cooking techniques and presentation.
We invite you to pair your meal with a selection from our carefully curated drinks list, which offers a range of excellent Tasmanian wine, whisky, gin, beer, cider and soft beverages.

Dinner is served daily from 6pm – 8pm.

We welcome both residents and non-residents, but bookings are essential and must be made a minimum of 3 days in advance to ensure the availability of produce for our trusted suppliers. No walk-ins accepted.
Due to the nature of our dining experience, we are unable to cater for any major dietary requests.
